17 - 22 October Cullera: Playing It Cool in Cullera

Ahhhh, we are fully in "Living Mode."  No appointments, no schedules no obligations.  We have been spending our time wisely.   Zoom meetings with our financial advisor, zoom meetings with Spanish tax experts, and meetings with relocation experts.  We are learning so much about the Spanish Non-Lucrative Visa that we will soon be the experts.  The amount of paperwork is huge and the timing of it all is difficult.  I will illustrate this with one document, my NJ birth certificate.  Spain wants a re3cent copy of the birth certificate, and recent means that it can not be more than 90 days old on our appointment.  So if we have an appointment in the first week of march then the document can not be issued before the end of the first week in December.  But NJ needs six to eight weeks to issue the document and there needs to be two weeks available for translation and verification.  Add to this, we don't know the exact date of our appointment so it could be in the second week of March.  that moves everything by a week.  It is a good thing that we can relax now.
