We took a train to Montpellier from Nice. There was one stop in Marseilles which was an unknown for us so we were a bit apprehensive. We got to the Nice station and our driver had turned 41 that very day. She was happy to meet another woman without maternal feelings. The luggage fit in nicely and we were able to transfer in Marseilles relatively quickly. We did find out that we were in the wrong car, #2 and not #1 but that worked out fine. The station was big and we had to stand by the video screen for 30 minutes to see what track our train was going to. The next leg was to Montpellier where there was a bit more trouble. Our uber ride had the magic moving pickup point and we never did find it. So we took a taxi instead, got into the Marriott and showered. Next we met Carlos and Omar at a funky restaurant called Le Bistrok. We got dinner and then went down to the esplanade that runs through the middle of town to catch up on our stories and our wine drinking.
