We took the road less traveled on our way to Three Rivers. Notre Dame Street snakes from Downtown Montreal all along the St Laurence River. It goes through tiny towns and farming villages along its way. This is how we wanted to spend our day instead of a mad rush on the Highway. Google maps could not understand this and wanted to re-route us at every chance. We stopped multiple time, first for our picnic lunch, next to stretch out our legs and finally to just sit and watch the river. We arrived in Three Rivers and got into our room. Then we went exploring around town. We found a stage set up for the Blues Festival, some live theater in the park and odd cat walking behavior. One of the roads was a large pedestrian walk way and the people watching was great fun. The powered mobility scooters picked out the best sports to watch people but we still found a good spot or two. We saw all types of folks from the chopper rider above to families with kids to retired folks strolling along.
