21 August 2022 Montreal: A Drive and an Arrive

A great copper showstopper as seen from out back porch.  It is emblematic of the neighborhood that we are staying in.  It needs a little TLC and has great potential but these spire have seen better days.  Our AirBnB is a 3/2 at a decent price, that is about all I can say about this.  Regardless we unloaded our stuff, picked our bedrooms and we were ready to go to the store to stock up.  That is when the skies opened up.  It was a hard thunderstorm and we decided to wait this one out.  When the rain stopped we jumped into the car and drove a zig zag route to the Provigio store.  They had everything on our list plus 50 other items that were not on the list but ended up in our cart.  We are really stocked up now!  Dinner was simple, pan fried pork chops and salad.  After dinner Leslie showcased her superior card playing skills and mopped the floor with me.

Nice beds

Street level is a tad bit noisy

On the plus side we only need to look up to check local traffic issues

The basement steps are steeper than the stairs to an Amsterdam attic

Nice trick to block the view from outside

A Mock Chicken Meal Loaf .... insert your own punch line

Oh the size of the Fromagerie!  An entire isle of soft cheeses!  Six more isles of cheese after that

Delicately Pickled Quail Eggs

One giant slap of smoked salmon for only $10

It has been 78 days since we began our Migration.
