26 August 2022 Three Rivers: The Rain Don't Got Us Singing the Blues

Three Rivers gave us its all!  We enjoyed every bit of it especially the guy, pictured above,  laying next to the gutter reading a book of philosophy.  The morning was dark from the rain clouds and we had a bite of breakfast in the room to ward off starvation.  A break in the rain gave us an opportunity to dash out to Le Brunch for their namesake brunch.  The menu was all in French but we managed thanks to the google translate app.  Leslie had a spinach crepe and two eggs while I got the casserole of eggs. spuds, and sausage.  We drove all around town and found the big performance hall, the museum devoted to paper mills and the gas station that had ice for the cooler.  The brunch portions were plenty big but all that driving had worked up our appetite, so back to the room.  Oddly enough, our dinner spot was next door to Le Brunch.  O'Centros was a straight up meat and potatoes place.  Our meat was beef burgers and out potatoes had gravy and cheese curds.  Yes, I ordered poutine and I liked it.   After dinner it was back to the riverfront for Blues music.  There was a blues fest going on after all.  Manon Brune was the lead singer of the 9 piece blues band that had everybody dancing or shuffling the night away.

The crepe was huge!

Le Brunch was Le tasty

A large plastic beef was the centerpiece of the restaurants decore.  Folks wrote on it in grease paint.

So much rain I had to pull the car over and wait
