We are now ready to tackle this huge behemoth of a tower. It is the tallest free standing structure in the Western Hemisphere and it was the tallest free standing structure in the world for 32 years till 2007! The observation deck is located 1135 feet up and there is an additional observation deck further up. That one is called the Sky Pod and it is at 1465 feet up. We were happy with just the normal observation level as the pod sways in the wind. When calculating the best time to visit, noon on a Sunday afternoon seemed ideal. It must have seemed ideal to everyone else as the line was very long. It took us over a half hour to snake through the various lines, checkpoints, photo booths and selfie stations. Ironically when we were done and we finally found the exit, there was no one in line outside at all! When picking the time, we had not taken into account was there was an afternoon baseball game going on next door. Plus the day was crisp clear and a lovely mid 70's so allot of folks were out and about. Once we got to the top we were able to see landmarks that we already knew. These included our current stay, the place we stayed in in 2018, the Blue Jays' Stadium and our excursion for the Caribbean festival. We looked and saw and went around twice and saw again. The rest of the day was devoted to planning out next year.
