Kingston, a smaller town on the east end of Lake Ontario, was a delight! There was the marina, the trail along the water and the small town style of the old town. After the three hour drive from Toronto we were ready to stretch out our legs. Lucky for us we chose wisely with our lodgings, right on the water and with a great view. We had a few hours to waste before we could check in so we walked the trail, sat on a few park benches and watched the parade of folks all out for the glorious sunny afternoon. The room was a corner room with views of the marina and the lake proper. We had a pair of GnT's in the room and then got Pizzas and more GnT's at the Wooden Head restaurant. The Wooden Head was the highest rated place in the old town and so we should have gotten reservations but we did not. So I asked if there was bar seating and instead they put in the charming back room patio. The pizzas were exceptional and we loved them. After dinner we walked around town a bit more and a small cup of gelato also found our bellies.
