1 March 2023 Puerto Banus: A Day of Getting

We had plans today to get out early.  But before we could get out the door, we heard a knock!  As a rule we don't get visitors, so we were intrigued.  It was a UPS guy in brown uniform and everything delivering a new credit card to Leslie.  Two weeks previously Leslie's phone was all abuzz in the New Zealand nighttime.  When she checked it in the morning, one of the credit card companies had been trying to contact her about a $4,500 charge somewhere back in the US.  They did not allow this charge to go through but they shut down the card.  When she called and them directly, they said they would send another card to her in 7 to 10 business days.  Trying to do the math and look up where we would be, she determined we would be here, in our first stay in Spain.  There were a few emails back and forth to pinpoint the location of the AirBnB but modern technology prevailed and we have the card!  We zipped off to Sticky Fingers in an Uber.  Rami, the driver, was from Sri Lanka and a delightful gentleman.  He told us that earlier that very day he drove a man who was also a full time traveler.  What are the odds?  The day continued to keep on giving.  We got the package of teas that we had ordered here in Spain.  Plus we got an Amazon order, a small printer for only $50 and a slpoofy.  We will soon be busy printing spreadsheets, tickets and booking confirmations.  A hard copy makes organization easy.  Oddly enough the sploofy box did not contain a sploofy.  We had to send that back as some odd GPS tracker device was in the sploofy box.  You win some and you loose some.  We also got out and walked to the west side of Puerto Banus.  There is a large hotel and entertainment area on this end of town and more beaches as well.  The wind was up and when we turned around to head back we got a power assist from the tailwind.  We watched a inflatable zodiac boating around in odd circles and back and forth movements.  It seemed to be trying to dock to a buoy, but we later determined that there were two different buoys and the zodiac was setting them in place.  They were set up for a three sailboat mini regatta the following day.  All in all it was a fine day and it turns out that at 270 days we are beginning our 10th month on the road!
