3 April 2023 St Sebastian - Donostia Walking Through the Old Town

A fine day was had by all.  It started out with the power going off and the host's mother standing on a stepladder in our kitchen flipping breakers on and off.  That was a new experience for us.  So we are starting a new list:  total loss of power, water turned off, wrong soap in dishwasher gives foam overload,  daily load shedding power outages, .  But we have survived all of these things.  I had put on all my gear to go out in the cold and rain to move the car.  It was free parking on Sunday but starting 9 AM on Monday it is in a pay zone.  At this point it was parked illegally for almost an hour so I had to leave in the middle of the power issues.  On the street was trying to figure out the pay station and I look over to see the car getting ticketed.  I call out to the meter man pantomiming my problems with the pay station.   He stopped writing the ticket and came over to help me figure it out.  Ticket avoided for another hour!  I got back to find the power back on and our plan for the day back on track.  We suited up for the cold, moved the car to the long term parking and went out into the world.  10 degrees C is pretty chilly for former Floridians so no layer was left unlayered. The sun was warm and we walked through the delightful old town.   Many of the buildings were from 1813 time frame when the city was rebuilt after being demolished in the Peninsular War.
