We were plotting our route to a large Japanese Garden down south of us when we noticed it was closed on Mondays. In fact the next two gardens we looked at were also closed on Mondays. So we pivoted to a garden on the river, the Fujita Gardens. More and more cherry trees are blooming and many folks brought their tarps out for big picnics. We had a fine 2 mile stroll along the river where we saw birds, bikes, excursion boats and a beaver! The beaver was unexpected. We had a tasty picnic lunch and then returned home to pack up and head out of Osaka. Tomorrow begins a week in Kyoto
