We took the elevator to the fifth floor to go to the Chinese restaurant but it is closed. Hmmmm. So we pivoted to the Japanese restaurant which is also closed. Grrrrr. We then head up to the 20th floor to see about the Italian restaurant. Its menu is only written in French and all the dishes seemed small and a bit too fancy. I had hoped for a veal parmesan or chicken parmesan but the menu did not show any dishes with tomato sauce. So we headed back to the room and looked at the map to see where we can go. We had asked for a suggestion from the front desk as we checked in. They recommended "Umi Oy Aji" but we could not find it. We finally found it using google maps and clicking in the places that were near where t was suppsoed to be. So off we went to Umioyaji for dinner. Somehow this place only had 3.5 stars, which seemed too low because we loved it! We sat at the bar and watched everyone making food for the patrons. We ordered firefly squids and a huge platter of sashimi, all through the QR code and my phone. The sashimi platter started as a five fresh fish of the day platter and then we added salmon, sea bream and mackerel. That made it 8 kinds of fish and at least three slices each but some had more. A great dinner for only $70!
