After the show we walked over to the Maruyama Park. It is one of the best spots in Kyoto to see cherry blossoms, Sakura, in Japanese. It has some huge trees and also a famous weeping cherry tree. On the way we passed a few cool places. We went into the Kanji Museum and Library and found some goodies in the gift shop. Then it was off to the park where there were many different food stalls set up for the hungry masses. We bought a few things, some tiny sweet buns and a cheese treat on a stick. The park is large with temples at the entrance area, cherry trees start mid way and continue to the back of the park with the trees getting bigger and more beautiful all along the way. Then we megandered our way back to the AirBnB through small streets and alleyways, past shrines and temples, enjoying the beauty that is Japan.
