Lunch at Succotash was something special. Jaxson picked it because they had a serious chicken sandwich. So all the kids ordered one and they got the fixins on the side. Our server. Juan, was very good but he had to leave us to get some emergency dental work. We ate our full but still had loads to take home. Lunch tomorrow is taken care of. We went to the White House next and looked longingly through the fence. A quick dance as we passed a trombone player and then it was the White House Visitor Center. We learned more about the White House here than we would have if we had been able to visit the actual White House. There were so many artifacts and informative displays here it was a great treat.

A little known fact, in the late 1940's the White House was determined to be a fire trap and had serious structural issues. The leg of the Truman's piano punched through the floor! The entire place was worked over with a new foundation and a skeleton of steel beams
A dapper George Washington
A plate from the Clinton administration
One huge silver centerpiece
Hiawatha was the theme
