13 May 2023 Washington DC: Hayden's Day the Last Part

After the Spy Museum we took the metro to the Metro Center and then walked to Noodles on 11.  Here we had lunch and changed into our fancier clothes for a show.  We went to the "Shout Sister Shout" show, a biography / musical,  at the Fords Theater.  This was a inspiring story of Sister Rosetta Tharp a Gospel singer who became famous in the early 30's and 40's and developed many new techniques for the electric guitar.  Her guitar playing went on to inspire many early Rock n Roll guitarists like Johnny Cash, Keith Richards, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard.  She is attributed as the originator of pop-gospel.  The show was filled with classic double standards applied only to women and many racist obstacles, but she persevered.  Her song "Strange Things Happen Every Day" was the first ever gospel song to cross over to the billboard charts and it reached #2. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fam as well as the Blues Hall of Fame.  Then it was tome for an early dinner at Carmines and back to the house.  The Florida crew needed to pack and get their things arranged for a 9 AM ride to the airport

Pho, duck and chicken dishes were ordered
