We woke up at 4:30 AM to catch our Uber to the airport at 5:15. It took us a half hour to get to Dulles and we talked with our Egyptian driver the entire way. He was a good driver and a great conversationalist. We got to the airport and through security quickly. We would have gotten through faster but Leslie had a big tub of Palmers Hand cream. This stuff is so good, it is solid at room temperature. Of course it is still considered a liquid, go figure! The agent was very helpful and walked Leslie back out of the inspection area, watched her split the cream into three portions (two zip lock bags and the original tub), put her in the front of the line and then let her proceed into the terminal with all of her hand cream. We sat in the lounge for a bit and then headed out to the gate. We ended up standing in line for a half hour as they were fixing seats on the plane. The seven hour flight flew by with the help of some movies and a nip of the grape. We landed at 9PM which means we saw an incredible sunset just as we were getting to London. Immigration and customs was a breeze and in no time we were in our hotel. We stayed at a hotel that we could walk to, a great decision.
