We took a boat on Sunday. The river is either the O River or the Kyu-Yodo river, the maps differ. Honestly there is a maze of waterways in Osaka that all intertwine and flow in a sinuous way. We only tracked a short bit before we reached the Nakanoshima Island which splits the river into two branches, the Tosabnori and the Dojima branches. The island starts out with a park and a rose garden but soon it hosts some very large and fancy buildings. Most everyone on the banks was ready with a quick smile and wave. The rain started again after we started back upriver but before we had gone through the low bridges. We had to make it under these bridges before the Captain could put the roof up. He finally got the cover up and we sat under it for the remainder of the trip.
It was spitting rain as we boarded

Our captain, Mr. Komaki, showed us his phone and said that we would have an one hour window with no rain. Fingers crossed
