We wanted to hit a specific temple on our return route but thought that we should find the "Water Clock" at the Osaka Station first. It seemed like an easy task, but the station is huge and the water clock is only 10 feet bu 8 feet. On top of that the only guidance we were given is that is in the South Gate area. We wandered very close to it and then went a floor above and a floor below it...finally we were able to ask for help and she pointed to the clock which was 50 feet away at that point. We stood there and enjoyed a half dozen displays before we headed out for the temple. Someone at Google HQ must have seen our attempt to find the clock and they decided to have even more fun with us. We had a intended to stop at the Namba station but Google gave us a different station. Then it indicated that we should take another subway line for an additional two stops. That additional subway line was totally bogus so after going the two stops we turned around and returned to the other subway line. We had 10 minute walk and five minutes into is the rain from Kobe caught up with us. We stopped a temple, but not the one we originally wanted to do to. We took a quick look at it and then headed home avoiding most of the rain that came soon after.
Murals above the south gate
Pretty modern
Found it!
Hard to photograph but imagine a printer head that shoots out water instead of ink. The falling water makes images that are lit up by lamps. For some reason the bottom of the images do not show up well in the pictures
Some images were musical notes, some were flowers and some were cherry blossoms.
The time was only displayed occasionally
An odd sculpture or a meteorological society
What exactly does this mean?
The temple had a large samurai statue
Lions
The large temple
Rat #1
Rat #2
The gate that we headed out of
A very large rock
These look like sun bears
The house has been demolished in only two days
Some sort of marker just by our house
