19 March 2024 Osaka: Off to Get Our Baseball Tickets

Today we ventured out on foot. We headed south to the Nishinari Post Office.  This was where we were supposed to pick up our baseball tickets.  We have two seats to a game in Osaka and two seats to a game in Tokyo.  Buying any tickets in Japan is tricky as the translations are often sketchy and so the instructions are hard to follow.  Leslie found a Baseball concierge online that takes care of the purchasing and the delivery of the tickets.  Sold!  We walked to the post office taking a different route than we had before.  Of course there were flowers everywhere and quintessential Japanese items to see along the way.  We wanted to buy a new type of Gin but the two liquor stores that we passed were merely vending machines on the street, whahhh?  We picked up the tickets, stopped off at a coffee shop for some tea, hit the market and headed home.

This goes way beyond a few flowers, this is an entire vegetable garden

A tiny gold bell on this cat

The only climbing wall we have seen so far

Is the chef a clown, are they clowning around inside?  So many questions...

The cars all seem a bit truncated

A fine three species flower bed

Packed tight with blooms

On a tree

The postal clerk needed a passport

Just like that we have the tickets

Take me out to the ballgame...

Cause it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ball game

We passed what I assume is a bowling ally

A delicate lavender colored bloom

More ornamental cabbages

We were surprised to see an orange tree or maybe it is a yuzu tree

These fruits were tiny

Amongst the modern buildings was this old style one.  These shutters were very thick

All aspects of the building seemed very old

The manhole covers are now in full color

A specialty store with seaweeds and mushrooms

These must be some fine mushrooms

What kind of hat is on this cat?

This is a real transformation the before and after shots defy belief

The hat I almost owned

More superb street ironwork

Convex and concave roof sections

Another small temple on the walk

Me-Ow

Stopped into the coffee shop

Mad coffee scientists

Carbon filtered coffee

The coffee smelled delightful

A bit of cake?

A macha iced drink

With a scoop of vanilla ice cream

Another painted manhole cover

Baby blue eyes

The trees are pruned in the cloud pruning manner
