22 March 2024 Osaka: A Hike to Namba Yasaka Shrine

We had the baseball game for later in the evening but I was a bit restless so I took off for a hike to the Namba Yasaka Shrine, the shrine we tried to get to the day previous.  It is famous for the large lion head temple seen above.  Lots of folks were tasking selfies but it was so large that most folks needed assistance.  So there was a great deal of trading cameras and then walking back and forth to exchange the subjects.  As I was walking up to the shrine I noticed the tallest building in Osaka off to the right.  This building is next to a large park with a zoo, botanical garden and more.  So I vectored over in that direction on my return route.  This took me to the gates of the zoo and then along a covered shopping arcade.  I was home an hour and 8 minutes later with a four mile leg stretch under my belt.
