Our room is on the right hand side and two floors from the top (see above). We have found that the first night at any new say is the least restful. As such I found myself awake early in the morning so I popped up and took a walk. I did wake Leslie up but I hope that she slept deeper without me in the room. I saw11 different species of birds of which two were new to me. I wandered down a street towards the river when Amila invited me to come onto his property. He is building a restaurant, has two rooms that he rents out and also has his own living area, It is right on the river and the ruins of his grandfathers house are right next door. We poked around inside there and he was just delightful.
