We took some time to work on our upcoming Italian visit. Train tickets were our focus. We had two different train companies to choose from and so we watched videos on youtube to help us decide. Then a few more videos to figure out where to sit on the trains. Then we had to battle the website! We now have tickets for Salerno to Bologna, Bologna to Venice (roundtrip) and Bologna to Rome. We shipped our big bags from Spain to England a two years ago while we flew to DC. It was pretty easy and relatively cost effective. Much has changed and when we looked into shipping them to Salerno it was too expensive. So we had to add the bags to the flights from Malta to Salerno. All this kept us busy for a couple of days so we stayed close to the apartment and took walks in the afternoons
