28 February 2025 Bangkok: The Bangkok Museum

After our hike to get to this museum we were immediately plunged into soothing Air conditioning and bathed in delightful cultural artifacts.  From paintings, to sculpture, to functional pieces  and more.  So much to see!

A nice big temple to start off

Brightly painted shutters line the side of the building

A big shrine to kick off the show

Some mythical beasts

An archer is prominently placed

Golden perch

Many layers of mythical creatures

A throne pedestal

Carved wood panel

Let me in these beautiful doors!

The archer again

This is a lintel for the ages

Some of the paintings are disappearing

But many are still vibrant

The ceiling and walls all go together to make for a harmonious decor

Many folks on the wall

Everywhere you look the details shine

A gazing ball, it could be used by the servants to check on the nobility with out directly looking at them
