"Melodies from the Silver Screen" was the title of the concert that we attended. The selections ranged from "Moon River" to the theme song to James Bond and we were tapping our toes the entire concert. We were in this same church the day before, where we bought our tickets, and as we were looking at the simple wooden pews we remarked that we needed to bring cushions to sit on. They took note of that and when we arrived they showed us to the only pews in the church that had padding. There was a reserved sign on the seats as they had been reserved for us. Bravo! We got out of the concert and walked around a bit more. The wind was picking up and the chill was getting to us. So we headed back to avoid the weather. The ferry was just a few minutes away so we walked there and luckily the ferry was already there and we just walked on. When we got to the other side we we jumped on a bus and took it right to the house. I had pressed the stop button but the driver was not going to stop. A different passenger yelled out stop! and finally the driver stopped the bus.

Fancy vestments
After getting bombed in 1943 the roof was damaged and these paintings were severely damaged
The interior restorations began in 2004 and lasted until 2016
An icon at the top of the altar
Notice the flat head screw to the left of her mouth. This is a painting encased in a silver veil. The veil is made of actual metal, not painted
Very fancy
The host came up to the lectern six times during the show. First for the intro, then after the first two songs, again after each pair of songs and finally at the end. One might say he is longwinded but we gave him the benefit of the doubt and said he was thorough
They are looking over to see if the host is ever going to wrap it up
This is for us
And they are ready to play
Great acoustics
Gigantic candle holders

This church was very small and that gave it a cozy atmosphere
