We met Elliot for lunch at AYU restaurant. We first met Elliot after the concert at the Church of Our Lady of Victory. We joked about Leslie being compared to Dame Judy Dench. He was a storehouse of Malta information and gave us great Malta suggestions. AYU had a red Michelin plaque on the outside of the restaurant. This required more research and we found out that it has a "Bib Gourmand" rating. This rating is just as esteemed as a star but is reserved for friendly places that serve good food at moderate prices. The bib part is a reference to Bibdendum, the official name of the Michelin Man. Our lunch was delightful and we had a far ranging conversation with Elliot and we hope to see him again.
