From Roker beach we walked north to find this festival. The Cliffe Park Music Festival was planned as a two day event but the lightening and rain yesterday required a cancelation of the Saturday events. We certainly enjoyed listening to the Sunderland Symphony giving us a Bridgerton type Concert.; Current songs were performed by a string ensemble of 20 players. They performed in a large canvas tent that was 30 degrees hotter inside than it was outside. We stood on the fringe still listening but also getting to watch the people and the dogs that were out in force.
Walking up to the concert grounds
Big tents billowing in the breeze
Strings abound
Wolf-dog
The local population swarms the waterfront whenever the sun is out
It is newsworthy!
The tent is filled to capacity
Any bigger and these flags would fly away
Go cellos go!
The main stage is open to the wind
This performer started out with straight hair and the wind did a number on her
A shoal of land fish
Curling flag
Terns on the wing
Pekinese pose
Bulldog butt
Distracted Yorkie
King Charles II
Wee Chihuahua
A terrier tug
