We were interviewed today by the local media. We talked about travel, Sunderland, how we chose this area, and the upcoming triathlon. Our host Lynn was also interviewed but her interview was outside in the front of the house. We started outside but the rain chased us inside. Our day started with a pod of 10 dolphins swimming in the mouth of the River Wear. The paddle boarders got a great show and so did we. Then we cleaned up a bit just in case we had to come inside for the interview. It was good that we did as the light rain did not stop until 2 PM and our interview was inside. Once the rain stopped we took our fancy pants down to Roker Beach and popped into Six a fine restaurant and wine bar. It is named after the six soldiers that guarded the mouth of the river Wear in 1587. We were the only folks in the place not day drinking, one table of four had an entire bottle of champagne and then four more big drinks after the bottle was empty! Don't worry, fair reader, we will drink later in the day. The food was great and we have an entire meal as leftovers. We walked out to inspect the media area but we did not get far as we ended up talking to one of the security guards, Michelle. Soon three more folks came by with their dog. Then another two guards came over. We spoke with everyone and stood there for over an hour. Great fun!!!
