26 January 2025 De Nang: A Walk or Two in Da Nang

We took two walks today, one out to some shops and one along the beach.  We stopped at the "Z" shop to finish up getting essentials.  It was recommended that we do not drink the water here so we got some big jugs for the house.  We also got some mustard and bay leaves, deodorant and a hot chicken foot.  These items may have been at the hyper-mart but we already had a very large load.  We chose to check out with an incomplete list of items so there were things we missed.  There were some new items for us in the "Z" store, the hot chicken foot for one and some very off feminine hygiene items.  We unloaded, had lunch and went back out, this time along the beach.  It was blustery and the red flag was out for the swimmers.  The lifeguard was driving a scooter along the water line, I guess that is one way to cover more ground.  We passed beach clubs, multiple selfie signs, large New Year displays, pigeon houses, tour busses and tourists.

Next door a funky roof top greenhouse

Da Nang stretches out to the north

What look like empty lots from ground level are actually gardens
