4 January 2025 Brisbane: Walking Kangaroo Point Pedestrian Bridge

The new Kangaroo Point pedestrian bridge is brand new and it has been open for less than an month.  We wanted to make sure that we could walk over it before we left.  It cost a whopping 300 million Australian dollars to build.  It was a very fancy construction and we were joined on the bridge by lots of folks.  We had a few last minute things to buy before leaving civilization so to speak.  After shopping we walked along the Old Botanical Gardens and the riverfront.  We passed the apartment that we stayed in in 2022 and saw some cool art in the tunnel on the way.  We got one last sushi dinner in at Ichiban and did some window shopping on the way home.

Very mystical

Oddly cryptic

A very tall support in the middle of the river

With cables holding up the bridge

The official plaque

Nice platforms on the bridge and a real looker in polka dots

Some window shopping

Great shoes

Leslie was sorely tempted

But alas the store was closed

Great art on the street
