26 October 2022 Darwin Australia: Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory

We hopped back on the HOHO this morning.  Our driver yesterday reminded us that the ticket was good for 24 hours do off we went to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territories.  They were hosting an exhibition of  the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Art Awards.  Great stuff in this exhibit.  It was wide ranging from woven items, to painted bark, to etched aluminum sheeting, to crochet, to carved wooden pieces.  That was the Art gallery side and the Museum side had zoological specimens, a section on Cyclone Tracy of 1974 and more.  A great time and lovely works of art to see.
