22 October 2022: Perth Australia The Perth Zoo and a Dinner on the Water

We took the ferry across to South Perth to go to the zoo.  The sun was shining, a cool breeze is coming off of the water and the zoo was the perfect place to be.   We had to wait to get there as a motorcade came by.  It was complete with a police  motorcycle escort.  The ferry as only $4 for the pair of us and was a fun ride.  We walked along a trail of meerkat statues to get to the zoo.  We passed by the South Perth Bowling Club where a group of folks were lawn bowling in their uniforms and hats.  Then we were at the zoo.  There was the usual group of habitats.  We breezed through the African zone as we have "been there done that".  We spent more time with the primates, the Australian bushwalk and the birds of Australia instead.
