We have arrived in style! Our driver came to the Hilton in a black Mercedes, freshly washed and just barely large enough to fit all our luggage. He took us to the Fairlawns, a fine boutique hotel that is part of our Belmond Safari package. We had worked up an appetite so we got a bite while waiting for our room to be ready. We had a bit of lunch, lamb soup, springbok carpaccio and some tasty cheese balls. We saw a gin trolly over to the side. There were six types of gin, all of them new to us. But we needed to get into our room, so off we went. The room we were given was gigantic, 10 foot tall ceilings and a bathroom so big it has echos. We settled into the room for but a sec, before looking in at the spa. We have massages scheduled for tomorrow and all is on track. Then, at last, we headed over to the gin trolly. This day just got better. After a nice refreshing imbibe, we had some dinner and then of to our cavernous room.
