3 October 2022 Johannesburg South Africa: Poolside and out into Town

We relaxed by the pool today for a few hours.  It was a non-stop bird show.  An Egyptian Goose landed in the pool right in front of us.  Hadeda Ibis flew by making a racket.  Andrew called then vuvuzelas with wings.  We saw weaver birds, pigeons, sparrows and the grey go-away bird.  We got some lunch at the pool and then off to the mall for a piece of luggage.  One of the wheels of my bag fell off so I needed to replace it.  The mall was absolutely huge and we had four luggage shops to choose from.  While looking I heard what sounded like a train.  I looked up and sure enough, a silly little kiddie train was driving down the middle of the mall.  We took an Uber home and got back in time for the club level happy hour.

Jacaranda trees planted a century ago these South American trees have really taken to the climate.

Plus the blue is beautiful
