27 October 2022 Darwin to Melbourne Travel Day

There was a lounge with tiny packs of vegemite.  There was a reason that the packages were so small.  That reason is that it is a foul substance.  I had heard about it but I had never eaten it. I never will again, that is a surety.  We sat in the lounge for  some time as the AirBnB checkout was in the morning and the flight was in the afternoon.  It was a 4 hour flight and we had another time difference so we landed about 8:30.  We got our bags and into an Uber but the driver did not follow the app's directions so we had to wander a bit.  Two or three course changes and we finally got to our AirBnB at 9:45.  It is a fine modern place up on the 46th floor.

As we entered the lounge I was excited to got some onion rings.  When I was about to take a bite, it smelled funny.  That is because they were squid rings, not onion rings.  No worries, I liked the squid

The package to the right is the inky black beast itself, Vegemite

Smeared on warm bread its foul odor emerges and one bit was all I needed.

The Darwin Airport is a tiny thing

But our plane is here and we are ready for a four hour flight to Melbourne

Darwin bay is larger than Sydney Bay

Off we go, from the wild blue wonder and across the wild red interior

We passed these lined of dunes spreading out as far as we could see

Dry as a bone

As we got further south there was water

A bit stormy but the heavy rain had passed

Our wanderings were well lit

Crossing over a bridge we had to cross due to road closures

We will be cooking here the next few days

We are here 9:45 PM

46 stories up!

Most modern and tidy

It has been 144 days since we began our Migration
