We bought bus tickers, rode the bus to the train station and scoped it out. We determined where we will need to go to catch our train to Bologna next month and found the elevator so we don't have to carry all the luggage up the stairs. We also found the ticket kiosks that we will need to use to buy tickets for tomorrow. we plan on a train trip to the start of the Amalfi coast The tracks for these trains are off to a side of the station that we could have easily missed had we not taken the time to explore the station thoroughly. Then we walked down to where the ferries dock when I ran out of steam. So we headed back on the bus to our place where we had dinner.
The buses are well used and there was a crowd to contend with
A large memorial in front of the train station
Ticket machines for local trains
The quiet part of the station
The regional and fast trains depart here
Do not try to cross the tracks!
A nice pedestrian street
A huge building
Ivestitia?
Very large doors
The front side is just as impressive
Down on the waterfront we find huge granite block breakwaters where the ferries dock
An odd profile for a ship
Mismatched sizes
Sailing with the big ships
Old train tracks through a park like setting
The residential buildings facing the water
Large blocks of housing
The fishing boats are now out
Again the boats are either huge or tiny
Pulling in the nets
