After our video went viral, Graeme Miller, the head of the Sunderland City Council, wanted to meet us and thank us in person for our endorsement of Sunderland as a tourist destination. Our video has had over 7000 views to date and the comments on the video have been very positive. We headed over and had a nice visit. Our AirBnB host Lynn is also on the council and she facilitated the visit. We drove over in her tiny Fiat which is an anniversary edition of a classic old Fiat. We were provided tea and shortcake cookies and had a far ranging conversation. It was really fun and we could have spent the afternoon there, but Graeme had more meetings to attend to, so we had to go. We got back to the house and the rain kicked it up a notch. We had lunch and then watched the world go by. Dogs, families in wet suits, families walking and more dogs!
