The Edinburgh Festival Fringe has been going since 1947. It is just huge and is only surpassed by the Olympics and the World Cup in terms of ticketed performances. Anyone can enter with any type of performance. Last year over 2.2 million tickets were sold over the month long festival. We chose to go to "Havana Street Party" an rollicking dance party. Before we went to the show we walked to the venue so that we would be able to get there without mishap. There are over 300 performance venues and most show last only one hour. One great feature of our AirBnB is that we can watch street performers all day. We saw many Fringe-worthy outfits on our walk. One stand out observation is that many of the performers do their own promotion. They can be seen on every street and every corner handing out flyers and talking up the show that they are promoting.
