With the solstice fast approaching, we are having warmer days here in Copenhagen. The sun was shining, the wind was minimal and we were headed out to see some ballet dancers. We packed a dinner on the go, stuffed mushrooms, bell pepper and roasted chicken, yummy! As we took the ferry into town we saw scores of red clad fans of Denmark's Football team. Along the bank by the Kulturhuset there was a big open field with two large screens on each end. We were amazed at the line of people waiting to get inside. It stretched out for a mile or more, all along the water and then it folded back on itself. We strolled through Christiana on the way to the show and saw some more cool art. On the way out we crossed a three way bridge that turned out to be a draw bridge as well. We got to see the bridge go up and watch all the folks bunch up while the bridge is up. We had to wait a bit to let them all get over the bridge before we crossed over ourselves. Then it was over to the Ofelia Plads for the ballet. All of Copenhagen must be out and about this Thursday as it was crowded here too. We fount two seats that we thought would give us a good view and we sat and ate our dinner. As soon as the performance started we had to abandon our spot due to all the people standing up in the isle and blocking our view. We tried a few different spots before we found the clearest view right by the bathrooms. There were 8 different dances with different dancers in each. So much culture for free!
