Our fine dining experience at Aamanns 1921, had local open faced Danish sandwiches called smorrebrods. We each ordered the lunch plate which is two smorrebrods and a desert. We ordered a herring in marinated elderflower vinegar, a smoked salmon, the special smorrebrod of the day with pork meatballs and a chicken salad sandwich topped with multiple kinds of greens. We shared the sandwiches for the most part but I hogged the meatball smorrebrod. A tasty chocolate and apricot desert finished off lunch nicely. We were early of course and I popped into a camera store. It was an impressive storehouse of all things camera related. After lunch we walked around this neighborhood looking for some batteries. Mostly we were looking at all the Danes going about their days.
