A huge gummy bear stands outside the front of the Holiday Inn Makati. That is where we are staying in Manila. It is next to a couple of big malls where I was able to find a replacement camera for my trusty Canon SX740HS which gave up the ghost a few days ago. I felt naked without that camera as I have used it nearly every day for the last two and a half years. Thousands of pictures had been taken with that camera and it has been a workhorse. I have a waterproof camera and the camera on my phone but they are sub-par in comparison. On the way to camera shop we went to Din Tai Fung to get some lunch. We have now visited Din Tai Fung in Taipei, Seattle, Sydney, and Vancouver. We can now add Manila to that list and may go back tomorrow.
