2 November 2024 Cauayan Island: A Fine Sunset With a Green Flash Bonus

Today we spent more time in the pool and enjoying the view from our fantastic villa. We saw all sizes of boats: from the large outrigger that has been delivering construction supplies to a small kayak and everything in between.  One new behavior we saw was when workers were unloading huge blue buckets.  In stead of trying to maneuver them on the pier they jumped in with the bucket and swam it to shore.  We could not see how they managed the bucket after they got to the shore, but since it was now wet it couldn't have been easy.  The sunset developed nicely.  There was a cloud layer that the sun sank through but the it peeked out at the end and we were able to see it sink into the sea.  To our delight the green flash popped pot at the very end!

Here was one of the large blue buckets

More supplies that were unloaded

The sun setting in the sky and rising in the reflection from our pool

The infinity pool was co-operating with the photos

Hitting the cloud layer

Starting to loon like Jupiter with the bands

The workers are still at it

Still a good amount of time to go

Will the clouds block the entire sunset?

Still patchy

Sinking

We thought we had lost the sun as it hit the thickest part of the clouds

It started to re-emerge annd it looked spooku

Like a face

The elusive green flash!
