13 November 2024 Brisbane: Nuts and Bolts Behavior

Today we did the things that need to be done for a successful long term stay.  We purchased "GO" transit passes so we can ride the bus and the ferry.  We bought a shopping trolly so we can haul our groceries back from the store.  We purchased some other essentials and of course we bought a whole chicken.  We started cooking it immediately after we got home. It filled the entire place with the most delightful aroma.  The whole chicken is so versatile, we can make chicken soup, roasted chicken or chicken curry with coconut milk. We actually made a soup stock with the backbone and roasted the rest. I still managed to get a lifebird, the Australian Figbird. It was almost two new birds but the photo of the bird was so blurry I could not make a definite identification.
