The heat had abated and the temps were only in the 80's, no sign of rain and a nice breeze to boot. So it was out and about. We walked on the over-water walk way down to the Felons Brewery. Then we went further upriver to the Old Botanical Gardens, our former stomping grounds. Here we stopped and had our picnic lunch. The Sunday market was going on so we poked around there and Leslie found a new hat. It is just what she was looking for, a soft cloths covering the back of her head, a removable chin strap and moisture wicking fabric to keep her cool. From the market we walked to the ferry and rode it back to New Farm. Many folks were out on a Sunday enjoying the river.
