Meiji Shrine in Yoyogi Park

The parks in Tokyo are very special - including the Yoyogi park, where the shrine for Emperor Meiji is located.  The forest in the park is so thick that it's 10-15 degrees cooler than in the city.  We renewed our vows and danced to "Happy" in the middle of the park.  In a section of the shrine, you can write your "prayers" and then leave them in a wooden box.  Quite lovely.  We were hoping to see a bunch of Harajuku girls (crazy dressed teenagers), but we only saw a few (we think the other girls were watching the Japan team in the World Cup).  The people watching was still fabulous!
