Sensi-ji Temple

Our rickshaw driver dropped us off at the Senso-ji Temple: a large complex of gates, temples, buddas, bells and sculptures with people everywhere.  The clouds were building and soon enough there was a large thunderstorm. We ducked under the temple roof, watched the crowd and had a great time . Then we went through the system of prayers and did a little shopping. There was a kindergarten right next to the temple and it blew us away how cute the little Asian children are! Yellow tennis shoes little wicker hats their parents came to pick them up walking and with bicycles and they waved at us and stared at Leslie's blonde hair and it was so much fun. Strangely enough as we were standing underneath a temple gate to escape another rain storm, a man approached Leslie to fill out a survey. Oh my  you should have seen her get so excited. She filled it out and got a little prize as a reward. Then we had to use the facilities.  It turns out there's a rock they have been peeing on for thousands of years; see the picture. There was a wedding couple getting pictures of them eating ice cream and waffles up by a bell, I snuck a picture.
