A stop in the fanciest of hotels for a nip and a nibble is always a treat. This hotel was the Four Seasons and we were most entertained. The patrons skewed towards the Mid-East and we also saw lots of shoppers loaded down with bags coming into the hotel for a break in consumerism. Our waitress was Ukrainian and we chatted with her for a while. She made sure to tell us to return and spend more money. The piano man was super talented and seamlessly went from song to song. He had some interesting arrangements of older 60's tunes that took us a bit to recognize but were great once we picked out the tune. Our little lobster rolls and the bar snacks kept us going for a second round but soon we were off to Doki Doki, a hand roll specialist. More fun was had talking to the Philippine chef and we next headed off to Crazy Horse. We were an hour early so after talking our way into the bathroom, we leisurely walked around the block in a light drizzle. We sat in the chairs of a closed shop and soon returned to Crazy Horse to see the show. The MC started out with some songs and some banter. There were a total of 10 dancers and close to 20 bits. The opening number was a cheeky one where eight dancers lines up facing away from the audience. The lighting only illuminated their butt cheeks and the cheeks jiggled and bounced to the music. Later on on the bit they are revealed wearing big British beefeater hats and big boots as the marched to the music. All of the numbers had very creative lighting either with patterns superimposed on the dancers and other creative methods. In one number, just the outline of the dancer was lit with sparkling light as she moved around on a couch. A real surprise was a set of identical twin gents who were in their 60's who tap-danced up a storm. What a fun and entertaining time!
