We are back in business, back in business class that is. We scored two Q-suites which are just a pod with a door and a catchy new name. This 6.5 hour flight was a breeze and a pleasure. We both got an hour or so of sleep which was much better waiting an hour to take a pee. I got to watch three movies instead of watching the frustrated passengers crammed in around me. Do I sound like a grumpy old man? Yes, I do and get off of my lawn you whippersnappers. We had an early flight and so we were down to the hotel breakfast buffet by 6:30, in the airport by 7:00 and in the lounge by 7:30. Even though we had breakfast already there were breakfast dumplings to try and some tasty pastries to sample in the lounge. Then we had a luxurious flight to Doha. We landed at 11:30 in Qatar, inched out way through immigration and made it to the hotel. We had a bit of trouble finding the luggage as Leslie's' big bag got wrapped in plastic and we did not recognize it at first. We relaxed for a while at the hotel, explored the facilities, we tired to get spa appointments (no dice) and felt the blast of oven like heat poolside. We were looking for the happy hour bar and Popos, the Sri Lankan restaurant hostess, showed us how to get there. She saw that we did not like the "shisha" smell in the happy hour bar so she told us about the set up at the nearby Holiday Inn. We liked the sound of it so she walked us over there. It was four buildings away and it took us a while too get over there. We wondered how she can leave her post for so long but she explained that it was the same corporate owners so she was just doing her job. We stayed there and got wings and burgers. The 12 wings turned out to be more than I expected because the one wing was the drumette and the smaller two bone piece. These would have been counted as two items in the USA. Leslie got a chicken burger which was gigantic and my camel burger was equally huge. We each took half of our burgers to go and ate then for our breakfast.
