We took advantage of the great weather to take the ferry over to Freemantle and back. It was a three hour round trip that turned out much better than the three hour trip of the SS Minnow. We met the boat at Barracks Pier and stood in line for a half hour. We sat upstairs next to a window that we could open and get a clearer view. Luckily the crew washed and squeegeed the windows before we took off, as the breeze was a bit much for thew Queenslanders next to us. the ride was smooth and relaxing. We enjoyed seeing all the big houses and marinas all along the coast line. Our AirBnb host was the host that we had the most contact with of any of our hosts so far. She had such an interesting life from a child in Yugoslavia to an award winning photographer in Australia. We offered to take her out to dinner but she deferred to cooking for us. We certainly got the better deal and we had a great time with her.
