We originally booked a direct flight from Edmonton to Vancouver Island on West Jet. Unfortunately they decided that we should connect through Vancouver City with a two hour layover. That layover went long when one of our fellow passengers decide not to show up for the departure. This required the crew to off load the luggage of that person. So instead of arriving in Victoria Island at 1:30 PM, we arrived after 7 PM. Oh well, considering how many flights have been canceled outright, we will suck it up and move on. Rob Fox was our taxi driver and he drove us on the scenic route to the Brentwood Bay Resort, a fine place and we arrived just in time for our dinner reservation. The restaurant here is one of the best on the island and we had a divine sushi dinner for two. Kudos to the chefs.
