The Museum of Pop Culture is an architectural delight. Stainless steel panels of different colors and patinas are bolted together to make elaborate and futuristic shapes. My great friend Tony Birchler spent 4 months at the offices of Frank Geary helping make this building a reality. The interior had a variety of displays. A costume display of the works of Ruth Carter. She had costumes from Do the Right Thing, Roots, Malcom X, Black Panther and more. What a huge body of work. A floor to third story roof vortex of guitars. Some of the guitars were self playing, that is until a few years ago. Now they need a serious tune up. There were also areas devoted to Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Sci Fi. it was lots of fun poking around in there.
