8 July 2022 Port Angeles to Whidbey Island

We got an early start in Port Angeles as I had to retrieve mu phone from Robert and Kim's house.  The ride was beautiful.  We drove along treelined roads, through a few parks and around two large inlets before we got to Port Townsend.  This is where we got on a ferry over to Whidbey Island.  We were early so we stopped in a shop to stock up and we drove a bit through town.  The town is the second oldest in Washington and it has a old time Victorian vibe.  Lots of old houses up on the bluff.  We went back tot he ferry and talked some more to the attendant.  She was great to talk to and she shared her plan with us.  She called us strong Americans.  As soon as we parked the car we saw an otter in the water.  The ride over took about a half hour and then we were in Coupville.  Time for some local mussels and then off to Captain Whidbey's
